2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: Name, email address, password
• Wedding details: Couple names, event date, event location
• Guest information: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses (collected via RSVP)
• Payment information: Processed by Stripe; we do not store card details
• Content: Photos, messages, guestbook entries, and other content you upload

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen size
• IP address: Used for security and basic geolocation (country level)
• Cookies: Session cookies and language/currency preferences

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the AyoWed platform
• Process payments and send transactional communications
• Deliver your wedding page to your invited guests
• Send you service updates, security alerts, and support messages
• Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. How We Share Information

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• With your guests: Your wedding page is accessible to anyone you share the link with
• Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery). These providers process data only on our behalf and under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights of AyoWed
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with notice to you

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service:

• Active plans: Data retained for the full duration of your plan
• Expired plans: Data retained for 30 days after expiration, then permanently deleted
• Account deletion: Upon request, all personal data deleted within 30 days
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years for legal/tax compliance

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Row-level security (RLS) on our database
• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
• Regular security audits and penetration testing
• Access controls limiting who can access your data

Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

• Session cookies: Required for authentication (deleted when browser closes)
• Preference cookies: Language and currency preferences (stored locally)

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.

8. Children's Privacy

AyoWed is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@ayowed.com immediately and we will delete it.

Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the purposes for collection, and with whom we share it.

You may request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., completing transactions, legal obligations).

We do not sell personal information. We have not sold personal information in the past 12 months.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide lower quality services.

How to Submit a CCPA Request

Email: support@ayowed.com with subject line "CCPA Privacy Request". We respond within 45 days as required by law.

11. International Data Transfers

AyoWed is operated from France. If you are located in the United States or other countries, your information may be transferred to and processed in France and other countries where our service providers operate (including the United States via Vercel and Singapore via Supabase).

We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy, regardless of where it is processed.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or a notice on our platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
